A Day of Virtual Discovery for First-Graders at Gymnasium No. 56 in St. Petersburg
Gymnasium No. 56 in St. Petersburg hosted a «Day of Virtual Discovery»—an educational interactive event for first-grade students dedicated to introducing them to modern immersive technologies.
During the event, the children were shown an interactive scenario focused on space. Using virtual reality technologies, the kids embarked on an exciting «journey» through the Solar System: they got to know the planets, learned interesting facts about outer space, and could literally feel like participants in a real space voyage.
Thanks to the sense of presence, the format proved to be particularly engaging: the children examined the planets with great interest, actively shared their impressions, and asked questions. For many, this was their first experience with virtual technologies, which allow for a new perspective on the world around them and make the learning process more visual and captivating.
According to the feedback from the students and teachers of the gymnasium, such educational formats help spark children’s interest in science, broaden their horizons, and make exploring the topic of space truly vivid and memorable.
