In his speech, Evgeny showed how AR and VR technologies are changing the work of museums and cultural institutions.:
- Interactive historical reconstructions and guided tours with the involvement of visitors are made possible.;
- They create digital copies of exhibits and allow for virtual exhibitions.;
- They help museums increase profitability and visitor engagement.
- Expand the accessibility of cultural heritage for people with disabilities and online audiences;
Special attention was paid to cases that have already been implemented: AR excursions in Pskov, the reconstruction of the lost Trinity Cathedral in Surgut, historical scenarios for the Azov Museum of Paleontology and other projects.
«Today, augmented and virtual reality are becoming tools not only for entertainment, but also for deep educational and cultural experiences. They help museums speak a modern language, attract young people and preserve their heritage in digital format,» said Evgeny Nadobnikov.
The presentation aroused the keen interest of the section participants and became an important step in promoting the digitalization of museums and cultural tourism in Russia.
